                        FOUNDATIONS

 I've been on construction projects that require one man and a shovel. I've been on mega projects that staff thousands of people with hundreds of crafts. Although all aspects of these projects are important to the structural integrity of the finished project, if the foundation is altered, everything else will be altered. 
 Foundations are one of our primary specialties. From small ground surface foundations to foundations driven close to 300 feet in the ground, I've installed. 
 As you can imagine, foundations are..... well... foundational to us. As a result, the very structure of our business sits on the most solid foundation in the history of mankind.

 In the Apostle Pauls first letter to the Corinthians, he tells them in chapter 3 vs. 10–12: 
"According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done.
There are many businesses that build on foundations built with money, popularity, bribes, crooked dealing. There are also those that are built on late nights, working yourself to death, and extensive marketing campaigns. Not all of those are bad in and of themselves. But just the same as you wouldn't take water out of concrete and use the water in and of itself for the foundation, so it is with Jesus.

These things are sure to pass away. We'd be foolish to put the foundational identity of our business in things that are sure to pass away; things that go out of style; things that change with the winds of every economic rain cloud that darkens the sky. 

Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:24-27 that: "Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.

We choose wisdom. We're confident that Pate LLC Site Services is being built on the strongest foundation that exists. Why? Because we are built on the rock. Our foundation is none other than which has been laid by God, which is Jesus Christ. 

As a result, the work that is done by us is built with the same heart, the same perseverance, the same dedication and love that he had for you when he made the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of the world.

Living in the south, we see a lot of problems with water puddling in yards and around foundations. As a result there are problems with foundation damage, erosion, mosquito's, limited use of property, wood rot, and a whole plethora of issues. One of the most common issues we see is something many never think of: Termite damage! Private Roadways and Driveways

Their private drive leading up to their driveway was so impassable they could no longer receive any mail or garbage service. It was no fault of their own, or the neighbors. What we found was that the original development of the roadway was a disaster from the beginning.     Building a roadway and/or driveway is much like building a house. It is only as good as the foundation it stands on. Many factors such as sloping, drainage, and water diversion tactics have to be put into practice from the beginning, or your house and driveway will not last.  There are other design issues that must be considered from the beginning if you want your driveway to stand the test of time. Pipe Culverts

          Pipe Culverts  If your driveway to your home or business enters from any sort of public roadway, chances are, you cross over a pipe culvert. Roadways are usually designed with a crown in the middle, or a slope to either side. Crowning and sloping causes rainwater to run to either side of the roadway. The purpose of this design is to divert rainwater off the roadway to keep it from puddling in the road. As a result, the sides of the roadways are equipped with drainage ditches. In order to install your driveway over (or through) the ditch, a pipe is first put in place so the water can continue to freely flow through the ditch. Then your driveway is installed over the pipe.   These pipes are available in many different materials. They could be constructed of steel, pvc, corrugated plastic, concrete, or other material.
